Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Our commitment

ResumeScan is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

ResumeScan is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.

Accessibility features

Keyboard navigation throughout the application
Visible focus indicators for all interactive elements (WCAG 2.1 AA contrast)
Skip-to-content link for screen reader and keyboard users
ARIA labels and roles on all interactive components
Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA (≥ 4.5:1 for normal text)
Responsive layout that works at 200% browser zoom
No content relying on colour alone to convey information
All images and icons include descriptive alt text or aria-hidden where decorative
Form inputs have explicit labels and error messaging
Animation can be reduced via the OS-level prefers-reduced-motion setting

Known limitations

The animated score gauge in the report view may not convey score values to all screen readers. A text alternative is displayed alongside it.

The drag-and-drop file upload area has a click/keyboard fallback but the drag interaction itself is not accessible to keyboard-only users.

Technical specifications

ResumeScan relies on the following technologies for conformance:

  • HTML5
  • CSS (Tailwind CSS)
  • JavaScript / React (Next.js)
  • WAI-ARIA attributes
