Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
Short version
ResumeScan does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. We use only the minimal browser storage necessary to make the application function.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They can be used to remember preferences, track behaviour across visits, or enable advertising. Not all cookies are the same — this policy explains exactly what ResumeScan uses.
2. Cookies ResumeScan does NOT use
- ›Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
- ›Advertising or retargeting cookies
- ›Social media tracking pixels
- ›Cross-site tracking of any kind
- ›User profiling or behavioural data
3. Browser storage we use
ResumeScan may use browser's sessionStorage or localStorage to temporarily hold your in-progress analysis data. This data:
- ›Never leaves your browser.
- ›Is cleared when you close the browser tab (sessionStorage) or can be cleared via browser settings.
- ›Contains no personally identifiable information beyond what you typed.
4. Third-party cookies
ResumeScan does not load third-party scripts that set cookies (analytics, ads, social widgets). Our hosting provider's CDN may set strictly necessary cookies for load balancing or security; these do not track you across sites.

6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our cookie practices change. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
