TL;DR
Your resume is processed entirely in your browser. We never upload it to our servers, never store it, and never share it with anyone. There is nothing to delete because we never had it.
1. Who we are
ResumeScan ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website resumescan.io and provides a free, browser-based resume analysis service. Contact: privacy@resumescan.io.
2. Data we do not collect
Resume content.When you upload or paste a resume, it is parsed and analysed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. The resume text, extracted sections, and analysis results are held only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session. No resume data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Personal information. We do not require an account, name, email address, or any personally identifiable information to use ResumeScan.
3. Data we may collect
Server logs. Like any web server, ours automatically records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, page visited, timestamp). These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and are not linked to any resume content.
Cookies. ResumeScan does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
4. How your data is used
Server log data is used solely for operating and securing the website. We do not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data retention and deletion
Because no resume or personal data is stored on our servers, there is nothing to delete. Server access logs are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you. In practice, the only data we could hold is your email address if you contacted us voluntarily. To exercise any rights, email privacy@resumescan.io.
7. Third-party services
The ResumeScan website is hosted on standard cloud infrastructure. Hosting providers may process server logs as part of their services. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media tracking pixels.
8. Children
ResumeScan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of ResumeScan after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
